Citizens Bank Minnesota Announces Exciting Changes to Scholarship Program

Citizens Bank Minnesota is pleased to announce updates to its longstanding Scholarship Program, marking a shift that aims to create an even greater impact on local students and schools. Since 2000, Citizens has proudly awarded $238,000 in scholarships to 91 students. After a thorough review of the program's goals, we are excited to introduce a new direction starting in 2025.

Beginning next year, Citizens will reallocate its scholarship funds to provide teachers and schools in the communities we serve with opportunities to apply for donations for specific school projects. This change will allow us to reach more students by supporting initiatives that enhance the educational experience. Eligible projects could include specialized tools for classroom learning, funding for library improvements, or the creation of new programs aimed at assisting student learning.

We believe that by redirecting these funds to support educators and school projects, we can make a broader and more lasting impact on our communities.

Starting January 2025, simply visit our website to apply at https://www.citizensmn.bank/inspire/community-giving. In the application, be sure to mark ‘yes’ for the question regarding our Education Empowerment Fund.
